Mkuu Mzee (Esteemed Elder) is the Co-founder of the Raising Awareness Group. He has worked with young people in order to enhance their perceptions, aspirations and goals in life and to be an example of fortitude and accelerated resolve. The education of our people and especially the youth is his highest priority. "Creating Awareness through Educational Activism" My favorite quote: "Life will dole out wounds along the way. Some heal quickly, some slowly and others not at all. All of these assorted wounds will eventually become our stories. How you tell them will be in how you choose to treat yourself in the final analysis. Live life as the proverbial student. Learn to grow from them, even though you may never get over them. Help others navigate their stories as well. Be an asset to the living; not those who are dead." {MM}
